Dr. Shengming Ma

Dr. Shengming Ma is a longtime researcher of diene synthesis and reactivity applied to the synthesis of target molecules and the discovery of bioactive molecules. His research defined the reaction activity and selective regulation of allenes in the presence metal catalysts and made contributions to the metal catalyzed allene reaction.  He has achieved international recognition for his work including the second prize of the National Natural Science Award, first prize for the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, the World Chinese Organic Chemistry award, and the IUPAC OMCOS Award. Dr. Ma is distinguished professor of Changjiang Scholars, a chief scientist of the 973 Program, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Metal Organic Chemistry and is and Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Developing Countries (TWAS) and CAS Member.  Currently serving as a distinguished Professor at Fudan University (China) and is a distinguished researcher at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (Chinese Academy of Sciences) and distinguished professor of Qiushi (Zhejiang University) and the Executive Deputy Editor in Chief of the Chinese Chemistry, Chemistry Society and a contributing member of a range of other scientific and technical journals and publications.
