
Dr. Jianhong Xu

Dr. Xu is an established expert in researching micro chemical processes and multiphase microfluidic technology including the transfer and reaction process of multiphase micro dispersion systems. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering and Doctorate from the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University respectively. Dr. Xu has presided over more than 20 NSFC (international and enterprise horizon) projects as well published more than 200 academic papers. He research work has resulted in more than 20 Chinese invention patents and was won numerous awards including the second prize National Technological Invention Award, first prize Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Chemical Society, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2020, and was selected as a young scholar in the “Yangtze River Scholars Award Program” of the Ministry of Education, the first Lab on a Chip new scientist of the British Royal Chemical Society, and Ind. Eng. Chem. of the American Chemical Society Res. He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University and serves as the chairman of the Youth Work Committee (preparatory) of the Chinese Chemical Society, and the secretary general of the Micro Chemical Technology Professional Committee.
